The millefleur pattern ("a thousand flowers" — from French) is taken from a series of XV-century tapestries “The Lady and the Unicorn”.The black pattern here is not enamel, but nanoceramics. First, the whole surface of the piece is covered with color, then the coating is cured in high temperatures. We remove the ceramic layer and polish the piece, so the color remains only in the pattern. Since all operations are made by hand, small areas may stay unpainted (and honestly, we find it beautiful). Each bracelet is unique and may differ from the photo on the website. The bracelet fits wrist size from 16 to 19 cm, with the width of 4 mm.

Jeanne joined the service of the botanist Philibert Commerson and, when he was sent on a global expedition, Jeanne disguised herself as a young man and became his assistant. Commerson died during the journey, and Jeanne returned to France only eight years later. Jeanne handed over all the plants she had collected with Commerson to a museum. Jeanne Baret was an 18th-century French botanist and explorer. Disguised as a man, she joined botanist Philibert Commerson on a botanical expedition. They explored Brazil, Tahiti, and Mauritius, studying and collecting plant specimens. Despite challenges and the discovery of her true gender, she continued the journey and made valuable contributions. She became the first woman known to circumnavigate the globe. But after the expedition, 70 specimens were named after Commerson, and none — after Jeanne (it was so until 2012). The Baret flower is our call for courage and passion that help breaking societal barriers, and a gesture of respect for professionals who follow their dreams.
